Job Description:
Prof. En Xu of the ION-GZMU seeks a highly motivated postdoctoral research fellow to investigate pathophysiological mechanisms underlying cerebrovascular diseases.
The En Xu’s lab has ongoing collaborations with labs other national and international investigators.

Requirements:
Applicants recently obtaining Ph.D. degrees or postdoctoral fellows could apply for the postdoctoral positions. The applicants should abide by academic norms, have team spirit, be healthy, and be under 35 years old.
This position requires excellent basic cellular / molecular skills, including experience with genomic technologies, gene expression analyses, cells culture, transfection/transformation, PCR, ELISA/Western blot analysis, and molecular cloning. A strong background in biochemistry and neuroscience is also required. Experience in bio-informatics is a plus.
The candidate must be able to function in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, be flexible to rapidly changing priorities and learn new techniques. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, scientific creativity, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment are important.
Benefits and Policies
Successful candidates will be provided with a package consisting of salary (about 280,000 RMB per year), post-allowance, performance allowance and housing allowance stipulated by national policies.
For postdoctoral positions, GZMU will award two-year postdoctoral positions to eligible, talented researchers with the possibility of renewal for a third year contingent upon satisfactory performance and continued funding.
Successful candidates will be granted a research fund of 150,000 RMB during the two years, provided by the National Post-Doctor Regulatory.
Postdoctoral fellows who work for municipal enterprises of Guangzhou are eligible for a one-time settling-in allowance of 200,000 RMB.
